RES Coal LLC was founded in 2008 upon the acquisition of Sky Haven Coal, and over the subsequent years has continued to grow operations through acquisitions and organic growth. RES is a metallurgical coal producer headquartered in Clearfield, PA, which operates a network of surface mining operations and a centrally-located modern 300 ton per hour preparation plant. RES focuses on production of premium quality mid-volatile coking coal to serve the steel industry.
